Royal Brunei Airlines has introduced RB Link flights with services connecting Brunei and new cities in Borneo Island in partnership with Malindo Air of Malaysia. RB Link is RB’s project to better connect Borneo with Brunei and the Royal Brunei Airlines network to the rest of the world. The launch of the project was announced by Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Doctor Awang Haji Mohd Amin Liew bin Abdullah, Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office and Second Minister of Finance and Economy in his capacity as the Chairman of RB Board of Directors during the launching ceremony of the return of Royal Brunei Airlines flights to Brisbane Australia. It took place yesterday afternoon at RB Campus.

RB’s Transformation as the National Airline and its expansion in new markets continues with the addition of direct flights to Brisbane. Connecting Brunei with Brisbane will no doubt a catalyst for increased travel, trade and tourism and will benefit not only the consumers but the nation as a whole.

The Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office and Second Minister of Finance and Economy in his remark said RB will launch a regional aircraft operation, initially with two brand new ATR aircrafts. The regional aircraft operation will be a key enabler of increased tourism, trade and movement of people within BIMP-EAGA and will further strengthen Brunei’s economic ties with the many cities of Borneo.
