One thousand 34 of the country’s intending haj pilgrims will perform the haj this year. The first haj flight is scheduled to depart on the 18th of this month. Meanwhile, 13 officers of Brunei Darussalam’s Haj Management Office left for Saudi Arabia, 7th July night. The delegation will make early preparations for haj affairs management together with relevant parties before the arrival of the country’s haj intending pilgrims in the holy city.

Present at Brunei International Airport to bid farewell were Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Doctor Haji Mohd Isham bin Haji Jaafar, Minister of Health and Pengiran Dato Seri Paduka Haji Bahrom bin Pengiran Haji Bahar, Deputy Minister of Religious Affairs. The delegation comprising 5 Haj Administration officers and 8 Haj Medical officers is led by Awang Haji Abdullah bin Haji Mohammad, Head of Haj Management Office for Administration.
