Mukim Liang in the Belait District, yesterday morning, held a National Flag Hoisting Ceremony in conjunction with His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam’s 76th Birthday Celebration. The function took place at Kampung Lumut Community Hall.
The ceremony began with the flag bearers comprising the joint association of Kampung Sungai Liang handing over the flag to Mohammad Haszrin Bin Bagol, the Acting Penghulu of Mukim Sungai Liang and then handing it over to the joint association representatives of Kampung Sungai Liang. All citizens and residents of the country are required to hoist the national flag at their respective homes until the 31st of July.
