40 paintings drawn by a managerial member of the Brunei Ex KL Students - BEKS are on exhibit at the Art Gallery of Bandar Seri Begawan Royal Wharf. The Blue Therapy Art Exhibition was officially opened yesterday afternoon.

The showcase was officiated by Yang Berhormat Retired Major General Dato Paduka Seri Haji Aminuddin Ihsan bin Pehin Orang Kaya Saiful Mulok Dato Seri Paduka Haji Abidin, Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports. The paintings are the work of Awang Haji Mahaddi bin Haji Matzin, better known as Adizain, a local artist who has long been active in painting and sculpture in the country and abroad. The blue therapy life concept displays calmness and harmony which are associated with the coolness of the sky and sea.

The exhibition is not only meant to show how art can help people communicate and handle emotion but also to reduce stress and increase calmness in the eyes of the viewers. Also in attendance were Permanent Secretaries and Deputy Permanent Secretaries at the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports. The exhibition is open to the public until 6th of July from 9 in the morning to 4.30 in the afternoon. On Friday, it is open from 9 to 11.30 in the morning and 2.30 to 4.30 in the afternoon.
