The personal gifts of His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam to specified groups at the presentation ceremony recently, need to be made an example to every citizen and resident, to provide continuous care and attention to those requiring aid. Such a ceremony is also hoped to be made a precedent so that the country's community will come forward to together provide assistance to those needing it which has become a symbol of the country's identity in caring for specified groups as the presentation ceremony moves into its tenth year, this year.
His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam takes seriously the welfare and well-being of his subjects specifically the needy and with the presentation of the personal gifts, the monarch wishes for the specified groups to together celebrate the joy of Hari Raya Aidilfitri. It is evident that the organisation of such ceremonies, has received serious attention and focus by the ceremony's secretariat. This can be clearly seen through in the transport section, the recipients being provided a shuttle service from a number of pick-up locations to bring them to Istana Nurul Iman.
The recipients were greeted by the people on duty at the registration desk which has been opened as early as seven in the morning. Every recipient were given an identification pass to enable them to continue on to the next step.
Those on duty comprise of the Secretariat, relevant agencies, uniformed security and medical service teams were also working hard to ensure the smooth running of the event aside from maintaining the safety and well-being of the recipients.
The recipients were then guided to the Bank Islam Brunei Darussalam Berhad, BIBD counters to exchange the coupons given into cash money.
The presentation of personal gifts certainly gives a deep meaning and joy to the recipients, especially since in less than a week all Muslim citizens and residents in the country will celebrate Hari Raya Aidilfitri. Non-Muslim recipients also expressed their joy and thanks to His Majesty for the presentation of the personal gifts.
