His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu'izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar 'Ali Saifuddien Sa'adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam has consented to bestow personal gifts to a total of nineteen thousand nine hundred and thirteen recipients of the underprivileged, comprising of those with special needs, orphans, the poor and those who receive monthly welfare assistance in conjunction with the upcoming Hari Raya Aidil Fitri celebration. The presentation ceremony of His Majesty's personal gift to specified groups is held for 2 days started yesterday. Graving the presentation ceremony as the personal representative of His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam for the Brunei Muara District and Tutong District were His Majesty's sons and daughters.

In the Brunei Muara District, gracing the ceremony were His Royal Highness Prince Haji Al-Muhtadee Billah ibni His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu'izzaddin Waddaulah, the Crown Prince and Senior Minister at the Prime Minister's Office, and Her Royal Highness Pengiran Anak Isteri Pengiran Anak Sarah binti Pengiran Haji Salleh Ab Rahaman. The arrival of His Royal Highness Prince Haji Al-Muhtadee Billah and Her Royal Highness Pengiran Anak Isteri Pengiran Anak Sarah at the Reception Hall of Istana Nurul Iman were greeted by Yang Berhormat Pehin Orang Kaya Seri Kerna Dato Seri Setia Doctor Haji Awang Abu Bakar bin Haji Apong, Minister of Home Affairs and Yang Berhormat Pehin Udana Khatib Dato Paduka Seri Setia Ustaz Haji Awang Badaruddin bin Pengarah Dato Paduka Haji Awang Othman, Minister of Religious Affairs together with their wives.

The ceremony began with the recital of Surah Al-Fatihah and Doa Selamat led by Yang Berhormat Pehin Orang Kaya Paduka Seri Utama Dato Paduka Seri Setia Haji Awang Salim bin Haji Besar.

At the ceremony, His Royal Highness Prince Haji Al-Muhtadee Billah and Her Royal Highness Pengiran Anak Isteri Pengiran Anak Sarah consented to present the personal gifts of His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam to three thousand, two hundred and ninety five recipients.

The presentation of His Majesty's personal gifts yesterday reflected the Monarch's continuous care and attentiveness towards those in need and lessen their plight especially with the upcoming Hari Raya Aidil Fitri celebration.
