Ma'had Islam Brunei with its "BruClean" application has won the Youth Hackaton 2019 Programme. The programme acts as a platform for Years 7 and 8 students to design a mobile telephone prototype application and the necessary challenges for handling environmental issues.
The winners received their prizes from Yang Berhormat Dayang Siti Rozaimeriyanti binti Dato Seri Laila Jasa Haji Abdul Rahman, Member of the Legislative Council as a member of AITI. Also present were Yang Berhormat Dayang Khairunisa bint Haji Ash'ari, Member of the Legislative Council and Pengiran Haji Mohd Zain bin Pengiran Haji Abdul Razak, Chief Executive Officer of AITI.
The runner-up was Pengiran Isteri Hajah Mariam Secondary School from Serasa with the ' CleanBN' application while third place went to Sultan Sharif Ali Secondary School with their ' SkyBru' application. The ' BruClean' is an application on the transport networks based in the country that offers the fastest garbage collection service on land or water. The application enables the users to take pictures of the garbage and provide the location so that volunteers can collect them. The competition was participated by students and teachers from 14 schools in the country.
