Seminar '101: Become a Halalpreneur' aims to raise awareness on local halal industry with business opportunities in the sector. It was organised by University Islam Sultan Sharif Ali (UNISSA) through the Halalan Thayyiban Research Centre in collaboration with Halasalam Corporation Sendirian Berhad, yesterday morning.

The seminar was officiated by Doctor Haji Mohammed Hussain bin Pehin Penyurat Haji Ahmad, Acting Rector of UNISSA. Also present was Yang Berhormat Dayang Nik Hafimi binti Abdul Haadii, Member of the Legislative Council. 230 participants comprised of government officers, students from higher education institutes, university graduates, small, medium and micro entrepreneurs and the public attended the seminar. Besides raising awareness on the local halal industry, the seminar also aims towards establishing a business network between local and foreign entrepreneurs through collaboration facilitated by the company. During the seminar, four working papers were tabled by local and Malaysian speakers.
