Every year with the arrival of Ramadan, stalls are opened throughout the country specifically for this month. In the Brunei Muara District, The Gerai Ramadan or Ramadan stalls at the Hassanal Bolkiah National Stadium, in front of the Royal Regalia Museum Building and Pasar Pelbagai Barangan Gadong are the locations that have become the focus of the public specifically muslims to purchase various foods and drinks to break the fast.

The establishment of such Ramadan stalls, is a needed facility every Ramadan as it helps those with no time to prepare food for breaking the fast. Ramadan stalls are in operation daily from 2 in the afternoon until just before the time to break the fast. It not only provides the public with facilities and opportunities to make the food selection but also gives an opportunity for small-time vendors to enhance their family income, most of whom are only doing the business on a part-time basis. Ramadan stalls at the Hassanal Bolkiah National Stadium in Berakas is also the focus of the public with various types of food and drinks being sold.

In the capital, the Ramadan stalls in front of the Royal Regalia Museum Building are frequently the focus of the public especially after office hours. 80 stalls selling various food and drinks are provided. With the lowest price at 1 dollar, it is some of the main attraction apart from the quality and quantity of the items sold. The establishment of the Ramadan stalls is vital to the visitors as it offers an easy way to purchase food for breaking the fast, without being a burden on the finances. Vendors are also reminded to keep their areas clean especially from the aspect of food preparation. The public is also encouraged to familiarise themselves by bringing and using recycled bags while shopping at the stalls.
