The Chief of Air Force of the Republic of Singapore Air Force was conferred the Royal Brunei Air Force Honorary Pilot Wing in recognition for his service in advancing the ties between the Royal Brunei Air Force and the Republic of Singapore Air Force. The conferment was by the consent of His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam. The ceremony took place yesterday morning at the Royal Brunei Air Force Base.

The Royal Brunei Air Force Honorary Pilot Wing was presented to Brigadier General Kelvin Khong Boon Leong by Major General Pengiran Dato Paduka Seri Aminan bin Pengiran Haji Mahmud, Commander of the Royal Brunei Armed Forces, RBAF.

Brigadier General Kelvin Khong then paid separate courtesy calls on the Commander of RBAF and Brigadier General (Udara) Dato Seri Pahlawan Haji Hamzah bin Haji Sahat, Commander of Royal Brunei Air Force. Brigadier General Kelvin Khong was appointed as the Chief of the Republic of Singapore Air Force on 22 March 2019, and is in the country for the introductory visit to the Royal Brunei Air Force.
