Al Barakah Darul Huda Incubator is among the Islamic Da'wah Centre's collaborative efforts with Bank Islam Brunei Darussalam Berhad, BIBD to turn the Converts Development Section into a hub for identified convert entrepreneurs. This is to be done through the Converts Capabilities Unit.
The incubator's launch took place yesterday morning at the Mau'izhah Hall, Darul Huda Building of the Islamic Da'wah Centre in Kampung Pulaie. It was officiated by Awang Haji Mohd Yusri bin Haji Wahsalfelah, Head of BIBD Government Relations and Special Projects.
Apart from attending courses and training on entrepreneurship, the Convert Entrepreneurs now have the opportunity to use the Al-Barakah Incubator contributed by BIBD to produce their own food products and also for the use of BIBD SEED Programme.
During the ceremony, 100 needy convert families in the country received staple food assistance, channelled through District Da'wah Units. It was followed with the presentation of certificates to converts who participated in the Community Development and Empowerment Project through Cooking Programme, which is a collaboration between Brunei Technical Education Division, (IBTE CET) and strategic partners.
