The Malay Islamic Monarchy Concept (MIB) is not simply a concept but has been a belief and way of life of the country's people for centuries, practising the Malay customs and traditions the places the Monarch as the leader and Islam as the official religion. The matter was raised during the MIB briefing for the 2nd Brunei Darussalam Post-Graduates Civic Village Programme. The programme which involves 15 post-graduates from local and foreign institutions of higher studies ends today.
Dr. Muhammad Hadi bin Muhammad Melayong, Senior Special Duties Officer, Secretariat Office of Malay Islamic Monarchy Executive Council said the focus is on the history of existence the monarchy as proclaimed by His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu'izzaddin Waddaulah, the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam on 1st of January 1984, that the country will forever be a Malay Islamic Monarchy which is independent, sovereign, and democratic, practicing Islam according to the belief of the Ahli Sunnah Waljamaah.
A briefing on Jobcentre Brunei was delivered by Awang Abdul Rahim bin Awang Haji Ali, Humer Resource Officer. The briefing explained the objectives of the JobCentre Brunei as a One-roof Centres for jobseekers and private sector employers. The centre also provides various job services and training for jobseekers and local jobs and businesses.
