Brunei Darussalam continues to strive to provide job opportunities and career prospects to women. This is evident in the number of women holding high positions. The President of the Community Welfare Council, MKM shared this during the Seminar on Women's Participation in the Economic and Social Enterprises Empowerment Initiative yesterday morning.

In an address, Awang Mohamad Yusof Halim said the MKM has and will continue to organise empowerment programs and initiatives for its members and the public.

The 2-day seminar shared working papers from various Non-governmental Organisations, NGOs and government agencies related to the best practices of the programme besides deepening their knowledge on the role of social enterprises. The session was attended by 30 people from government agencies and several NGOs related to women and social enterprises.
