To provide platform to discuss the development of Cultural and Creative Industries, CCI in Brunei Darussalam and Hong Kong, the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences (FASS) of Universiti Brunei Darussalam (UBD), yesterday morning organised an International Symposium titled ‘Understanding the Creative Industry Ecologies in Brunei and Hong Kong’.
The symposium was officiated by Pengiran Doctor Mohd Iskandar bin Pengiran Haji Petra, the Assistant Vice-Chancellor for Academic Affairs at UBD. The one-day symposium, jointly organised by the Faculty of Arts at the Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK), discussed various topics such as “Visual Arts and Community Arts Development”, “Emerging Young Artists in Brunei, and sessions on literature and the social media view. The event was attended by CCI stakeholders, including government policy-makers from various ministries such as the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports; Ministry of Education, and the Ministry of Primary Resources and Tourism; as well as other professional industries such as Creative Space Gallery, Regalblue Production and Relentless Entertainment.
