The Empowering Culture of Reading Carnival was also held this morning at the other three districts. With the theme "Membaca Nadi Kejayaan Bangsa" or Reading, the Heart of the Nation's Success, the carnival aimed to produce a society who are knowledgeable, informed and visionary. In the Tutong District, the function was held at the district's Language and Literature Bureau Library.

Present was Datin Paduka Doctor Hajah Norlila binti Dato Paduka Haji Abdul Jalil, Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports. The function was highlighted with a Let's Read and Choral Speaking performance Pertama School, Tutong. The function ran concurrently with the presentation of prizes and certificates to members of the Tutong Library, by the Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports.

In the Belait District, the carnival was held at the Language and Literature Bureau Library in Kampung Pandan Jalan 7, Kuala Belait. Present was Pengiran Mohammad Amirrizal bin Pengiran Haji Mahmud, Permanent Secretary for Administration, Finance and Estate at the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports. The function was followed by the presentation of prizes and certificates. Exhibitions and sales were also held to highlight the carnival.

Meanwhile in the Temburong District, the carnival was officiated by Retired Colonel Pengiran Haji Maiddin bin Pengiran Haji Said, Deputy Permanent Secretary for Youth and Sports at the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports. The ceremony which took place at the district's Language and Literature Bureau Library ran concurrently with the presentation of prizes and reading diligence certificate for the district's library members. The carnival was also highlighted with an exhibition by the Temburong District branch Operation 'G' Fire and Rescue Department and the Temburong District Scouts Association as well as sales. The carnival is hoped to further enhance the culture of reading among the country's society and at the same time encourage the public to use the library as a centre to obtain information and conduct various beneficial activities.
