The Brunei International Islamic Festival (BIIF) that is currently being held at the International Convention Center, Berakas has attracted many visitors. Since its launch on the 8th of April, more than 2 thousand visitors came to the festival. Dk Hjh Mumtazah Pg Hj Md Jaafar reports.
BIIF is an exhibition displaying the Artefacts of Prophet Muhammad Sallallahu 'Alaihi Wassalam, as well as His journey and sacrifices in upholding Islam.
Among the artefacts are such as cloak, pieces of turban, scarf, hair, beard, that are attributed to the Prophet Muhammad Sallallahu 'alaihi Wassalam.
Filled with the melodious Selawat, the exhibition not only displays artefacts of the Prophet Muhammad Sallallahu 'alaihi Wassalam but also showcases small replicas that depict the Prophet's life and His Da'wah journey. Visitors are generally thankful for the opportunity to witness closely the artefacts of the Prophet. This invaluable opportunity has touched the heart of many.
The festival not only attracted the local people but has also caught the attention of tourists. The display of the Raudah carpet previously used in Nabawi Mosque, also brings blissfulness to the visitors.
The festival was jointly-organised by Syarikat Qalby Sdn Bhd and the Ministry of Primary Resources and Tourism and supported by the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports. BIIF which will be held until this Sunday, is open to the public from 9 in the morning to 9 at night.
