The 61st International Tilawah and Memorisation of Al-Quran will be held starting tomorrow until the 20th of this month in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The Country’s representatives, Awang Haji Mohammad Albi bin Haji Ibrahim and Dayangku Fauziah Nadhirah binti Pengiran Haji Jofri departed for Kuala Lumpur yesterday morning.
Present at the Brunei International Airport to bid farewell was Awang Haji Mohammad Serudin Bin Haji Timbang, Deputy Permanent Secretary for Policy and Religion at the Ministry of Religious Affairs. Prior to the competition, the national Qari and Qariah attended an intensive course which aimed improve as well as expose them to a new and different method of Quran reading.
