The Brunei International Islamic Festival, BIIF 2019 is currently being held at the International Convention Centre in Berakas. The exhibition is open to the public until the 14 of April from 9 in the morning until 9 at night.
The festival was officiated by Pengiran Dato Seri Paduka Haji Bahrom bin Pengiran Haji Bahar, Deputy Minister of Religious Affairs. The BIIF showcases Prophet Muhammad Sallalahu Alaihi Wassalam’s artefacts as well as the journey and sacrifices made by the prophet and his companions in upholding Islam. The exhibition was also participated by various agencies including Sultan Sharif Ali Islamic University and a number of embassies and high commissions in the country.
The public can obtain the exhibition tickets at the International Convention Centre in Berakas at 10 dollars for senior citizens, adults and children 5 years and above. Meanwhile, for primary and secondary school as well as higher education groups the tickets are 8 dollars per person. Visitors are urged to wear clothing that covers the aurat and is not provocative. The BIIF was organised by Qalby Sendirian Berhad in collaboration with the Ministry of Primary resources and Tourism and supported by the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports.
