In the effort to improve its capacity and disaster management in the country, the National Disaster Management Centre, NDMC with the cooperation of Temburong District Office has held the Table Top Exercise or TTX. The exercise which took place at the Main Hall of Bangar Town Civic Centre complex was a preparation designed to reduce the impact of floods during the monsoon season, especially in Temburong District.
IN attendance was Pengiran Haji Maiddin bin Pengiran Haji Said, Director of National Disaster Management Centre and Awang Mohammad Yassin bin Haji Ahmed, Acting Temburong District Officer. The exercise involved members of the District Disaster Management Committee, DDMC of Temburong and the relevant agencies including the Fire and Rescue Department, Royal Brunei Armed Forces, Royal Brunei Police Force, Public Works Department, Community Development Department, and several other government agencies. Through the exercise, an Incident Management Team, IMT was also formed. Its role is to handle natural disasters during floods.
