Efforts are being carried out to obtain technical expertise services to evaluate the safety of the Kampung Sungai Orok flat in Salambigar that is found to be unstable. The Minister at the Prime Minister's Office explained on the matter queried by Yang Berhormat Pengiran Haji Ali bin Pengiran Maon on the flat's safety.
The Minister at the Prime Minister's Office said the flat tenants have been asked to move out by the end of 2017 in fear that the flat is not safe to live in. This is because the surface of the ground is not yet settled and remain unstable. To tackle this matter, the Royal Brunei Police Force is working with the Ministry of Development to obtain technical expertise services to evaluate the safety of the flat and its surrounding areas. The findings will allow the Royal Brunei Police Force to decide the building's suitability in the future. Members of the public are prohibited from entering the area, which is always under surveillance for any trespassing to ensure everyone's safety.
