All nurses in every hospitals and health clinics in the four districts will be supplied with a new uniform for nurse. Commonly, the nurse uniform is in white colour, now it has been transformed to various colours according to their respective position. Speaking at the launching of new uniform for nurse, the Minister of Health said that the renewal made to enhance and equip the new uniform for nurse equivalent with the international uniform and at the same time to maintain the Malay Islamic Monarchy concept.

Aside from that, Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Doktor Haji Mohammad Isham bin Haji Jaafar also said that it acts as a motivation to further increase moral and spirit of nurses in the Ministry of Health.

The Minister of Health also urged all nurses to continuously active in enhancing self-excellence and continue their services with honest and sincerity apart from enhance awareness on the treatment and care quality for patients.

The new uniform will be supplied through phases at all hospitals and health clinics in the four districts. 3 uniforms will be provided and for female midwives and nurses will be provided along with a headscarf. Every uniform will be equip with the Ministry of health logo. Currently, 2,451 nurses are at the Ministry of Health’s services, 464 of them are male nurses.
