Royal Brunei Police Force personnel from the Limau Manis Police Station and Company 'C' Reserve Unit have found 2 suspicious vehicles without drivers parked at a house near to the border. In a media conference this morning, Inspector Faisal Iswandy bin Ali Othman, Assistant Commanding Officer of Limau Manis Police Station, stated that the two vehicles were found during a crime prevention patrol carried out at the Kampung Bebuloh area in Limau Manis at 4:20 in the morning.
Inspector Faisal Iswandy said inspections carried out on both vehicles found contraband in the form of 1 thousand 192 cartons of cigarettes of various brands believed to have been smuggled into the country. The vehicles and evidence were seized and brought to the Limau Manis Police Station for further investigation.
The Royal Brunei Police Force stresses to the public to always obey the country's laws. Aside from that, the police also seeks the public's cooperation playing a proactive role as the eyes and ears of the police by channelling any important information so that criminal elements can be eradicated in order to maintain the peace, security and well-being of the country.
