The International Amateur Radio Expedition delegation is in the country to enhance cooperation among other amateur radios, apart from instilling teamwork spirit and strengthen relations. The expedition called DXpedition can promote the country's uniqueness and beauty of nature through amateur radio.

The event was organised by the Brunei Darussalam Amateur Radio Association, BDARA, and was joined by 25 International Radio Amateur Expedition members. The event was launched yesterday afternoon by Awang Haji Jailani bin Haji Buntar, Deputy Chief Executive Officer for the Authority for Info-Communication Technology Brunei. Throughout their 2-week stay in the country, the delegation will visit amateur radio station at the Seri Kenangan beach, and will try to connect to other radio stations throughout the world. Participants comprised of amateur radio clubs from the United States, Australia, Brazil, Bulgaria, Canada, Slovenia, Serbia, Malaysia, Mongolia and Brunei Darussalam.
