The activities organised for the 1st ASEAN Rover Moot in the Tutong District came to a close with an exposure to the Bruneian Community's socio culture and art. The closing ceremony was held yesterday morning at Dataran Gong Tiga Community Hall in Kampung Lamunin.
The participants were given the opportunity to witnessed the unique Bruneian heritage and culture, particularly the ethnic group in Tutong District, namely Tutong, Kedayan and Dusun. The ceremony coincided with the presentation of certificates and souvenirs to the participant representatives. It was handed over by Awang Haji Murad bin Haji Abdul Hadi, Acting Commissioner of Scouts for Tutong District. Also in attendance were Awang Haji Haizul bin Haji Yahya, Acting Assistant Tutong District officer and Awang Haji Tujoh bin Talip, Penghulu of Mukim Lamunin. The ceremony was organised in collaboration with Kampung Lamunin Consultative Council.
In the afternoon, the participants took part in a community work by cleaning the Hassanal Bolkiah Mosque in Tutong Town. Also taking part in the activity was Acting Commissioner of Scouts for Tutong District.
