Speaking during the Brunei Energy Industry Integrity Pact 2018 New Signatories Recognition yesterday, Minister of Energy, Manpower and Industry said it recognised that corruption is one of the biggest impediments to economic growth and prosperity in any nation. Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Dr. Awang Haji Mat Suny bin Haji Mohd Hussein, stressed as the oil and gas industry is a key driver of the national economy. As such, the players of this industry must continue to be leading examples in many aspects, especially in embedding and upholding business integrity.

10 major oil and gas operators and 32 business partners, comprised of both Brunei owned and international companies have pledged their commitment to upload the Integrity Pacts ten essential principles in their ways of working to ensure appropriate internal controls are in place.
