The participation of youth in the Ship for Southeast Asian and Japanese Youth Programme, SSEAYP, able to unite as one community and share ideas in various fields to become a better future leader. The matter was stated by Datin Paduka Doktor Hajah Norlila Binti Dato Paduka Haji Abd Jalil, the Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports at the 45th SSEAYP Farewell Ceremony. It was held yesterday afternoon at the Muara Port.

330 youths from 10 ASEAN countries and Japan including 28 Bruei Darussalam's representatives participate in the 52-day programme. This year is the 33rd times the country participate with One Thousand and 29 local youths have participated the programme. It is an international youth exchange programme, sponsored by the Government of Japan with the cooperation of ASEAN countries since 1974.

The Programme among other matters aim to strengthen the international understanding and cooperation among the youths from ASEAN and Japan apart from able to share and learn from all aspects including culture, politic and development. From Brunei Darussalam, the M.S Nippon Maru ship will continue its journey to Manila, Philippines.
