8-thousand 5-hundred dollars had been raised by the Jerudong International School through welfare-based activities. The money was used to purchase learning-aids and other resources for the use of children with special needs in the country.

The handing-over of the aid and resources was held yesterday morning. 17 special-needs children were the beneficiaries of the fund. They received the assistance from the J-I-S Junior School Council Student. This is the second the Council Student gave away assistance to the children with special needs, with the hope of inspiring them to study hard and ease their mobility. Also present at the occasion were Dayang Hajah Anis Faudzulani binti Haji Dzulkiflee, the Acting Director-General of Education; and Awang Ali Yusri bin Abdul Ghafor, the Acting Director of the Special Education Unit who is also the Chairman of the Special Unit IKHLAS.
