Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn AND Thailand delegation also visited the Defence Academy, of the Royal Brunei Armed Forces (RBAF) in Kampong Tanah Jambu.

Upon arrival at the Defence Academy, Her Royal Highness was welcomed by Major General Pengiran Dato Seri Pahlawan Aminan bin Pengiran Haji Mahmud, the Commander of RBAF. Her Royal Highness received the royal salute at the royal dias, followed by inspecting the Guard of Honour comprising of 107 personnel from the Royal Brunei Land Force.

Soon after, Her Royal Highness was escorted to the Officer Cadet School and was given briefing on the function and role of the academy. The RBAF Defence Academy is established in line with the Ministry of Defence and Royal Brunei Armed Forces’ aspiration to enhance professionalism level of its personnel and providing education, training and course locally and continuously at all kevel in RBAF.

Infrastructures and facilities provided at the accommodation of the Officer Cadet School were among visited by the Royal Thailand delegation.

The delegation also viewed a demonstration at the obstacle course. The training involving officer cadets which is conducted for forty two weeks in line with the main function of the Defence Academy, towards producing efficient, professional and dynamic young leaders as well as equivalent and recognized by abroad Defence Academy Institutions.
