As part of their continuous efforts in assisting the underprivileged community in the country, the Council on Social Welfare, MKM, yesterday afternoon launched a new unit called the MKM Coordination Unit. The newly established Coordination Unit will act as an information provider for MKM clients in relation to job opportunities and training programmes that are currently available in the country.

The launch was officiated by Awang Haji Mohd. Serudin bin Haji Timbang, Deputy Permanent Secretary for Policy and Religion at the Ministry of Religious Affairs. The function ran concurrently with the launch of the coordination unit’s new page under the MKM’s website, which contains a database of job information, skills training and grants offered for the use of MKM members to assist their clients. The function was followed by the handing over of the coordination unit from the 26th Executive Development Programme for Middle Management Officers (EDPMMO) to MKM. The Unit is hoped to help the underprivileged by connecting them with relevant agencies.
