Following a message in Mandarin that went viral via Whatsapp, stating that the Land Transport Department and the Department of Investigation and Traffic Control, Royal Brunei Police Force are conducting road blocks for 60 days with the aim to ensure that drivers in the country do not commit road traffic offences such as not wearing seat belts while driving, the Land Transport Department informs that the department has never issue such message. The Land Transport Department reminds the public not to easily believe any information being spread without first confirming it. The department also reminds individuals to stop circulating the message which causes confusion among the public.
