Pro Bono, in the legal profession refers to legal services provided for free or at a reduced cost to help members of the public who have limited income and cannot afford to obtain legal advice.

The matter was among the topics discussed in the Pro Bono session held in conjunction with the Asian Law Student’s Association Fair, ALSA BRUNEI. The session was held yesterday afternoon at the Sultan Sharif Ali Islamic University, UNISSA auditorium. The discussion touched on the availability of Legal Advice Clinics in the country which enables members of the public who cannot afford legal services to obtain advice on legal matters. The legal advice clinic was conducted by the Brunei Law Society and The Community Welfare Council, MKM, which was also a panel member in the discussion.
