The Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Damit Girls Arabic Religious Secondary School emerged as champion in the National ‘Mari Berpantun’ competition 2018. The competition took place yesterday morning at the Information Department.
The National Mari Berpantun or Quatrain Competition 2018 aimed to shape students who possess sharp, precise and quick thinking abilities, educating students to be capable of controlling their stress and emotions as well as strengthen their mastery and fluency of the Malay language. Prizes were presented by Awang Mohammed Jais bin Haji Abd Rahman, Acting Director of the Co-Curriculum Education Department, Ministry of Education.
At the ceremony, prizes for national-level competitions were also presented to winners of the ‘Membina Model 3D’ or 3D Model Building, Composing Quatrains, Batik Weaving, Short Story Writing, Catan Drawing and Poetry writing competitions. The competition was held in conjunction with His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam’s 72nd Birthday Celebration and conducted by the Co-Curriculum Education Department, through the Art and Culture Unit,
