To encourage a culture of voluntary charity work, 24 officers from various Departments and Ministries participating in the 3rd Cohort of the Young Executive Programme (YEP-3) have organised the Cook 'n' Share project. The project is one of the community service activities under YEP-3 conducted by the Public Services Department and the Civil Service Institute, Prime Minister's Office.

250 types of food were prepared and cooked by the YEP-3 participants at the Youth Centre, in the capital. The Cook 'n' Share project, which carries the theme "Giving Back to Our Unsung Heroes", is an expression of appreciation to local labourers who have worked hard and exhaustively in the sun to ensure the country's environment and roads are well kept and in good condition. The distribution of the food to the local labourers was carried out at over 15 locations around the Brunei Muara district. The project also indirectly strengthens relations among the YEP-3 participants and enhances teamwork.
