The Dato Othman Primary School, which is located at the Kampung Lambak Kiri Indigenous Citizens Housing Land Scheme area is now reaching its 25 years. Yesterday morning, the school celebrated its Silver Jubilee by showcasing a ‘Tautan Kasih Nostalgia Sekolah Rendah Dato Othman’ exhibition.
The celebration, officiated by Awang Haji Ali Yusri bin Haji Abdul Ghafor, Acting Head of Special Education Unit, who among other matters said that the success of a school and education system are depending on the role of teacher, parents as well as the society. The celebration was filled with exhibition which showcased the portraits of the school’s former teachers and the school’s activities photos. The school which was fully operated on March 1993, was first known as the Lambak Kiri Primary School. 5 months later the school changed its name to Dato Othman Primary School. The Family Day which will take place tomorrow also among lined up in the school’s Silver Jubilee celebration.
