With the continuously changing trend of crimes in the country, the Royal Brunei Force is called upon to further improve police discipline, professionalism and solidarity, placing them at the highest priority especially for those at the leadership level. The Second Minister of Defence stressed that peace and security were vital elements in ensuring the country’s progress, national development plans as well as the continued prosperity enjoyed by residents and civilians.
Yang Berhormat Pehin Datu Lailaraja (Retired) Major General Dato Paduka Seri Haji Awang Halbi bin Haji Mohd Yusof made the remarks at the Passing out Parade of the Probationary Inspector Officer Cadets, Squad 1/2017 and Squad 2/2017. 16 Officer Cadets completed the 13 months Probationary Officer Cadet Training for the first squad and 9 months for the second squad. Officer Cadet Muhammad Aminur Rashid bin Haji Yusty and Officer Cadet Khairul Haq bin Haji Jumat also received awards as the Best Cadets. Also in attendance were Dato Paduka Seri Haji Mohammad Jammy bin Haji Muhammad Shah Al Islam, the Commissioner of Police and Dato Seri Pahlawan Haji Mohammad Irwan bin Haji Hambali, the Deputy Commissioner of Police.
The ceremony ran concurrently with the presentation of promotion letters and rank insignias to the all Probationary Inspector Officer Cadets, Squad 1/2017 and Squad 2/2017. The promotion ceremony was officiated by the Commissioner of Police.
