The South East Asia Literature Council, Mastera is a collaborative literary project among Mastera member states since its establishment in 1995. It is an effort to strengthen and uphold the Malay Literature apart from empowering the Malay Language. Last night, the 24th Mastera was launched at the Rizqun International Hotel in Gadong.
In attendance was Dayang Hajah Sariani binti Haji Ishak, Acting Director at the Language and Literature Bureau, as Head and Chairperson of Mastera Brunei Darussalam. Among the matters that will be discussed in this edition are the reviews and and agendas of the 24th meeting, to strengthen and discuss Mastera programmes and outline Mastera's 5-year activities. Also present were Heads of Mastera from Indonesia, Malaysia and Singapore.
