The percentage of the Sufri Bolkiah Secondary School students obtaining 5 credits and above in the GCE 'O' Level Examination, continue to increase and more than the national average over the past 10 years. Towards the provision of a quality teaching and learning to produce excellent and skilled students in line with 21st century requirements, schools are urged to continue exploring effective strategies. Datin Seri Paduka Doktor Hajah Rumaizah binti Haji Muhd Salleh, Deputy Minister of Education was speaking at the Golden Jubilee Celebration of the Sufri Bolkiah Secondary School in Tutong, yesterday morning. In her speech, the Deputy Minister of Education said the Ministry of Education will continuously emphasise on holistic and high quality education.

The Ministry of Education also stresses on the rate of improvement of student's intake into higher education in line with the Wawasan Brunei 20-35 objective to produce a highly-educated and skilled generation. However, such an effort need to be implemented at the school level specifically at secondary level as preparation to further their studies to post-secondary.

The ceremony ran con-currently with the launching of the School's Golden Jubilee Memorial. A number of exhibition were also put up on the history of the establishment of the school in 1967. A bazar and games were also held.
