Brunei's unique culture is a wealth which needs to be protected and preserved as a heritage and pillar of the National identity as well as practised as a way of life by all segments of the community. In channelling knowledge and awareness on the values of the Brunei culture and explaining the great need to safeguard it, the Culture and Arts Division at the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports conducted "Projek Perjalanan Budaya' or the Cultural Journey Project in Temburong District yesterday morning. It was held at the lobby of Bangar Town Bumiputera Complex.

The project was launched by Yang Berhormat Awang Haji Emran bin Haji Sabtu, Member of the Legislative Council. About 350 students, pupils and members of the public participated in activities organised by the Museums Department, Language and Literature Bureau, Brunei History Centre, Youth Development Centre and the Culture and Arts Division. The two-day event is also aimed at enlivening the Bangarku Ceria programme. It is a continuation of the cultural promotion in the country's four districts. Using the 'EDUTAINMENT' concept it involves exhibitions, demonstrations, traditional games, briefings and cultural quizzes.
