The third group of Haj pilgrims arrived safely in the country at around 7:36 this morning on board the flight B14218. The 253 pilgrims had been using the Darussalam Holdings Sendirian Berhad, accompanied by 3 officers of the Haj Medical Department.

On arrival at the airport, the Doa Selamat was read by Awangku Ahmad Faris Ramadhani bin Pengiran Haji Sellahuddin, a Mosque Affairs Officer of the Jame 'Asr Hassanil Bolkiah. They were greeted by a welcoming party led by Yang Berhormat Pehin Udana Khatib Dato Paduka Seri Setia Ustaz Haji Awang Badaruddin bin Pengarah Dato Paduka Haji Awang Othman, the Minister of Religious affairs and wife; Yang Berhormat Pehin Datu Lailaraja Retired Major General Dato Paduka Seri Haji Awang Halbi bin Haji Mohd Yussof, the Second Minister of Defence; and Pengiran Dato Seri Paduka Haji Bahrom bin Pengiran Haji Bahar, the Deputy Minister of Religious Affairs and wife.

Also present were Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Abdul Aziz bin Orang Kaya Maharaja Lela Haji Yussof, the Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Religious Affairs and wife; Dato Seri Pahlawan Awang Mohammad Irwan bin Haji Hambali, the Deputy Commissioner of Police and wife; Doctor Awang Haji Zulaidi bin Haji Abdul Latif, the Deputy Permanent Secretary (of Professional) at the Ministry of Health; Awang Haji Mohd Serudin bin Haji Timbang, the Deputy Permanent Secretary (of Police and Religion) at the Ministry of Religious Affairs and wife; and Ali Abdullah A. AlShehry, the First Secretary at the Saudi Arabia Embassy in Brunei. Meanwhile, the fourth group of haj pilgrims is expected to arrive at about 2.55 today afternoon.
