Bilateral relations between Brunei Darussalam and Singapore were further strengthened through the meeting on cooperation in eradicating the misuse and trafficking of illegal drugs in the region. The meeting between Brunei Darussalam's Narcotics Control Bureau, the NCB and the Central Narcotics Bureau, CNB of the Republic of Singapore was held at the Rizqun International Hotel in Gadong yesterday afternoon.

Apart from exchanging views, the meeting also discussed the best practice and several educational programmes on drug abuse treatment and rehabilitation. The meeting which was the 10th of its kind aimed to provide opportunities to both parties to share the drugs trend and situation in both countries, the best practice and amendments or updates of procedures and laws on eliminating the misuse and trafficking of illicit drugs. The session was co-chaired by Awang Haji Mohd Jaffari bin Awang Haji Mahadi, the Acting Director of the Narcotics Control Bureau and Ng Ser Song, the Director of the Central Narcotics Bureau of the Republic of Singapore.
