The Brunei Halal Showcase, BruHAS 2018, is still ongoing at the International Convention Centre in Berakas. The showcase highlights various halal products and services of local and overseas entrepreneurs, while at the same time supporting the micro, small and medium enterprises, MSME's to become internationally competitive.
More than 100 MSME's and international companies are taking part in the expo which is a testimonial to the country's effort in developing the halal industry. Themed 'Developing the Halalan Thayyiban Industry towards achieving the Wawasan Brunei 2035 (Two Thousand, Thirty Five), the Halalan thayyiban is not only limited to food but also includes other products and services such as hospitality and tourism.
The showcase is open to the public from 9 in the morning to 9 in the evening until this Sunday. Apart from the showcase, the public are welcome to attend the BruHAS Clinic which will be held today, from 10 in the morning until 4:30 in the afternoon. The Clinic is an open and interactive session for the public to enquire and seek advice on subjects related to Halal applications, guidelines and standards, Halal investments and analysis from experts and officers from the Halal Food Control Division, Ministry of Religious Affairs; Sultan Shariff Ali Islamic University, UNISSA and the Halal Science and Metrology Centre, Ministry of Health.
