This was stated by the Suri Seri Begawan Hospital's Medical Superintendent at the World Breastfeeding Week celebration held at the the hospital. According to Doctor Hajah Riamiza binti Haji Momin, such an action is in line with the calls of UNICEF to implement the national breastfeeding policy, where mothers are encouraged to exclusively breastfeed their infant for 6 months, and continue the practice until the child reaches the age of 2 years.

The function ran concurrently with the presentation of nursing covers by Datin Doctor Hajah Noraslinah binti Haji Ramlee, wife of the Minister of Health.
