Brunei Darussalam and Malaysia continue to strengthen strategic cooperation in issues related to land transport, with both sides also sharing the best practises that have been implemented. This cooperative tie was among the matters discussed during the bilateral meeting between the Land Transport Department and the Road Transport Department, JPJ of Malaysia. The meeting was held yesterday morning at the Land Transport Department Headquarters in Beribi, Jalan Gadong.
The Malaysian delegation, which was led by Yang Berbahagia Dato' Sri Shaharuddin bin Khalid, the Director General of the Road Transport Department, was welcomed by Pengiran Mohammad Amirrizal bin Pengiran Haji Mahmud, the Acting Director of the Land Transport Department. During the meeting, both sides also share the latest developments in the fields of transport, enforcement, and cross-border travel or mobility for transport vehicles from both countries. Efforts to further enhance the transport sector's administration system was also among the matters discussed. The meeting was attended by senior officers from the Land Transport Department and the Road Transport Department, the Royal Brunei Police Force and the Royal Customs and Excise Department.
