Brunei Darussalam will have its first Ammonia and Urea Fertiliser plant under the collaboration of Brunei Fertilizer Industries Sendirian Berhad and ThyssenKrupp Industrial Solutions AG. The ground breaking ceremony took place yesterday afternoon at Sungai Liang Industrial Park -SPARK.
In-attendance was Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Doktor Awang Haji Mohd Amin Liew bin Abdullah, Second Minister of Finance as member of the Brunei Fertilizer Industry (BFI) board of directors. Syarikat Fertilizer & Syngas Technologies Business Unit TKIS AG from Turkey is a wholesaler company that carry out engineering works, production and building of the factory. The factory is able to produce up to 2 thousand metric tonne of ammonia daily and 3 thousand 9 hundred metric tonne of Urea. Also present were Dato Seri Paduka Awang Ahmaddin bin Haji Abdul Rahman, Deputy Minister of Finance and Ralf Richman, Chief Executive Officer of TKIS.
