The 4th group of intending Haj pilgrims will leave for the Holy City of Madinah at around 12:50 last night. Meanwhile, the third group consisting of 251 people arrived in Madinah at about 5:45 yesterday afternoon Brunei time. They left for the city this morning on board the Royal Brunei flight.
As early as four o'clock in the morning, close relatives and friends gathered at the Brunei International Airport to bid safe journey to the intending pilgrims. Among those present were at the airport Yang Berhormat Pehin Udana Khatib Dato Paduka Seri Setia Ustaz Haji Awang Badaruddin bin Pengarah Dato Paduka Haji Awang Othman, the Minister of Religious Affairs; Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Dr. Haji Md Isham Bin Haji Jaafar, the Minister of Health; Pengiran Dato Seri Paduka Haji Bahrom bin Pengiran Haji Bahar, the Deputy Minister of Religious Affairs; and Dato Seri Paduka Awang Ahmaddin bin Haji Abdul Rahman, the Deputy Minister of Finance. The third group - using Syarikat Darussalam Holdings Sendirian Berhad package - was accompanied by three officers of the Haj Medical Office. To bless their journey, a Doa Selamat was read Yang Dimuliakan Begawan Pehin Khatib Dato Paduka Haji Suhaili bin Haji Metali Al-Hafiz.
