As part of its efforts to promote the Omani culture in Brunei Darussalam, while further strengthening people-to-people links which are important components of the existing strong ties between the Sultanate of Oman and Brunei Darussalam, an Oman Publications Corner was launched yesterday morning at the Seri Begawan Religious Teachers University College, KUPU SB.

Present to officiate the launching was Yang Berhormat Pehin Udana Khatib Dato Paduka Seri Setia Ustaz Haji Awang Badaruddin bin Pengarah Dato Paduka Haji Awang Othman, Minister of Religious Affairs. The Publications corner contains over 280 books on various branches of knowledge, especially in the history, geography, culture, tradition, literature and heritage of the Sultanate of Oman. Also present was His Excellency Sheikh Ahmed bin Hashil Al Maskari, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Sultanate of Oman to Brunei Darussalam and Dr Haji Adanan bin Haji Basar, Acting Ra'es KUPU SB. The publications corner aims to foster the love for reading among Bruneian youth and works in line with the initiatives of the government of His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam in building a nation of readers.
