This year's Haj season will see 6 medical officers and 14 nurses joining the Bi'thah Medical Haj delegation, while 28 staff of the Ministry of Health will perform the Haj. Yesterday morning, a Doa Selamat was held for the delegation, with the aim to seek blessings from Allah SWT for their protection and safety while at the Holy Land.
In attendance was Yang Berhormat Dato Paduka Doctor Haji Mohammad Isham bin Haji Jaafar, Minister of Health. The delegation will be led by Doctor Haji Mahmud Shauqi bin Haji Mahmud Saedon, the Ministry of Health's Medical Officer. The function was highlighted with a talk titled 'Persediaan Haji' or Haj Preparation delivered by Awang Abdul Rahman bin Haji Ajak, a certified Da'ie from the Brunei Islamic Religious Council.
This was followed by the presentation of donations to the intending pilgrims by the Minister of Health. Also present were Doctor Haji Zulaidi bin Haji Abdul Latif, Deputy Permanent Secretary for Professional at the Ministry of Health, and Awang Maswadi bin Haji Mohsin, Deputy Permanent Secretary for Policy and Management at the Ministry of Health.
