Islam encourages the ummah to visit one another regardless of who they are. For Islam, it does not matter if the hosts or guests are very important people or VIPs, or just relatives, neighbours and friends because such visits can foster better relations. Yesterday afternoon, the Mosque Affairs Department through the Youth Unit of the Imarah Section held a gathering in conjunction with Hari Raya AidilFitri with a visit to the residence of Dato Seri SetiaAwang Haji Abdul Aziz bin Orang Kaya Maharaja Lela Haji Yussof, the Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Religious Affairs. The visiting delegation comprised members of the country's Mosque Youth Groups.

The delegation comprising 200 mosques youth was led by Awang Haji Amir Hisham bin Haji Masri, the Acting Director of Mosque Affairs. The gathering began with a DikirMarhaban followed by the "Doa Allah Peliharakan Sultan dan Negara Brunei Darussalam" or May Allah Protect the Sultan and the country as well as the DoaSelamat.

The Hari Raya gathering was part of efforts by the department to instil a sense of loyalty and respect towards leaders as well as to give the youth confidence in interacting with the department and the Ministry of Religious Affairs. It also aimed to enhance relations among youth of different backgrounds.
