In making preparation for the upcoming Hari Raya Aidilfitri celebration, among the matters that should be taken into account is fuel for the vehicle. Normally during the first day of Hari Raya, a number of petrol stations in the country will be closed, and only several stations will be operational on the said day. The Brunei Shell Marketing Company Sendirian Berhad, BSM has issued the business hour schedule for petrol stations nationwide for the public's convenience.

This year, BSM has made the initiative to promote '#BeliAwal' starting early this month with the aim to remind road users to buy fuel earlier to avoid congestion. Awang Haji Mat Serudin bin Haji Ismail, Head of Retail at BSM explained that the company will continue to ensure that the fuel reserves are sufficient at petrol stations for road users during the festive season. According to him, on the first day of Hari Raya, 16 petrol stations will be operational; 9 in the Brunei Muara District, 3 in Tutong District and 4 in Belait District. On the second day, 30 petrol stations will be operational, including a petrol station that operates 24 hours a day in Brunei Muara District. Whereas on the third day, all petrol stations will operate as normal. For the upcoming Hari Raya Aidilfitri, all petrol stations nationwide will extend its business hours until late night.
