200 compound fines were issued by the Royal Brunei Police for various road and traffic offences last night. The operation involved 247 officers and staffs of the Royal Brunei Police Force as well as several enforcement units. It was run simultaneously in the four districts ahead of the Hari Raya Aidilfitri.

The operation in the Brunei Muara District was led by assistant superintendent of police, Pengiran Omar Ali Bin Pengiran Manshor, head of enforcement unit of the Department of Investigation and Traffic Control. During the operation, 32 compounds were issued under Land Transport Department act. 7 under Royal Customs and Excise act, 8 under the Immigration and National Registration Department, 2 under Narcotics Control Bureau act and also 19 under Religious Enforcement Unit act.
